Esquema del recorrido del papel en impresión láser.

The fusers are the core in the printing process of a laser printer.

The Fuser is the piece that fixes the toner on the paper. This, like any other consumable part, wears out with the regular use of prints, since it is one of the components that suffers the most due to its mechanical wear and overheating of its components, due to the high temperatures it must withstand.

The failure of a fuser is usually caused either by its useful life, or by the deterioration or wear of its components.

Therefore, it will be necessary to replace it when the machine notifies the need for a change, either by means of a notice on the printer’s panel with an error code, or when we begin to notice its deterioration.

The most common symptoms that indicate fuser deterioration are:

  • The print leaves parallel spots across a sheet.
  • The printer begins to loosen toner and does not stick to the sheet
  • Stains on printed sheets
  • Annoying noise from gear wear
  • No heating due to lamp failure
  • The printer simply stops printing even though the paper goes all the way.

The fusers have a useful life of 100,000 to 200,000 printed pages, depending on the model.

In remanufactured fusers we also guarantee this duration.

It must be taken into account that it is an approximate value, since all the studies are analyzed on a 5% coverage of toner dust on an A4 sheet, (which comes to be a standard letter) for which it will depend a lot on the impressions made by the user, depending on the type of paper, weight, double-sided printing, photographs, logos, the quality of the toner, ambient humidity, etc …

Most common error codes
in Lexmark printers

  • ERROR 920,XX
  • ERROR 920.06
  • ERROR 920.12
  • ERROR 920.40

Most coomon error codes in HP printers ERROR 50,X – ERROR 80

  • Hp error 50.2    Low fuser temperature.
  • Hp error 50.2    Keep warm kit, no temperature control.
  • Hp error 50.3    High fuser temperature.
  • Hp error 50.4    Fuser failure, it may be a mains frequency problem.
  • Hp error 50.5    Maintenance Kit incorrectly installed.
  • Hp error 50.6    The fuser circuit is faulty, electronic component failure.
  • Hp error 50.8    El calentador (subthermistor) tiene la temperatura baja.
  • Hp error 50.9    El calentador (subthermistor) tiene la temperatura alta.
